To equip participants with the theoretical knowledge and practical application to competently administer emergency first aid, after a life-threatening incident using basic life support measures only. |

Basic First Aid has both practical and theoretical elements, where participants demonstrate procedures of techniques used and exhibit the necessary knowledge on administering emergency first aid. |

| Validity |
The Statement of Attainment remains valid for three years from the completion date. It is recommended that cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills (CPR) are refreshed annually. |
